It has an excellent location for exploring Marrakech, while still offering its holidaymakers a peaceful ambiance and various activities. It is suitable for couples as well as families.

The Chems lies in the old city, inside the city walls, 1640 ft from the Koutoubia minaret, Jemaa El Fna square, the souks and the Medina, just opposite the famous Mamounia. It is close to the hivernage district. It takes about 5 minutes to get to the airport (3 miles).
Ping-pong, card or board games, Moroccan evening ... Three times a week, a thematic evening is organised. An equipped room and a games area are available to children during school holidays.

Built in 1970 and renovated in 2001, the Chems is a 2-storey building with elevators, very well arranged, located at the bottom of a dead-end street. All of areas of the hotel are perfectly accessible. The reception room overlooks the very nice bar, which overlooks the dining room. In front of the bay windows of these rooms, a terrace and shaded and flowery gardens, very well maintained, with the 1830 ft² swimming pool and its sun lounge. From there, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Koutoubia. The hotel also has gardens dotted with fountains and a patio for relaxation and reading. As for sports, a clay tennis court will satisfy the more sporty guests.

The hotel's 146 rooms are very simple. They are air conditioned and equipped with direct telephone for international dialling, satellite television channels with 6 out of 8 channels being French, an individual safe. However, there is no mini-bar. Most of the bathrooms have a bathtub. Only 22 of the rooms have a shower. The rooms have large balconies and terraces. To see the Koutoubia from your window, ask for rooms 119 to 131, or better, rooms 217 to 231. For families of at least 3 people, we advise you to book one of the 7 triple of quadruple suites. They are located in a quiet place and have a beautiful terrace facing the gardens. Room service is available 24 hours a day.

Outside the snack bar offering grilled foods, the Chems has a very nice restaurant, with windows looking onto the swimming pool, the terrace and the gardens. Breakfast and dinner, hearty and tasty, are presented in the style of a buffet. Lunch is served at the table with a choice of meals. Dinners are served in the style of a buffet in high season or served at the table during the low season. The cuisine is varied, with international and Moroccan dishes. Drinks are not included in the service.
