The hotel has an integrated fishing centre, which is difficult to find elsewhere. An orchestra plays every evening near the swimming pool. The rooms near the beach are the most quiet, but they are also the furthest from the main complex.
7/10
Built in 1987 and gradually renovated each year, the Saly Hotel is a village of huts including 76 guestrooms in all. We greatly enjoyed the open-air lobby which appears to be a little area around which the entire hotel revolves : reception desk, shop, bar, restaurant, swimming pool and tour desk. Let us mention also the gardens stretching over 7.5 acres from the swimming pool to the beach : green, flowery and shaded, they add perfect charm and harmony to the complex. The pool is attractive. Well-maintained small paths lead to the lodging units. Although not attractive, the huts have the necessary comfort. A fishing centre and two trimarans are the assets of the water sports centre ( although not free ).

The rooms are simple, clean and bright ; but they are not particularly attractive. Their furniture, though reduced to the essential, is adorned with pastel fabrics and sand paintings. Fifty percent of these buildings open onto the gardens, with a view of the sea (from the front or the side) and provide peace to those who need it. They have separate air-conditioning, free safe and a direct telephone line, but no TV and mini-bar. The bathrooms only have a shower, a washbasin and toilets. No room service.

The Saly's major strength. The restaurant offers a great variety of dishes in a bright and airy setting under a thatched roof. The excellent cuisine is international. However, Senegalese specialities, notably the delicious and irresistible roasted fish or seafood, are also served. Breakfast is served as a buffet. The other meals are served à la carte or on fixed menu. Dinner is normally offered in case of half board. In addition, a snack bar near the beach provides another form of pleasure. In the evening, you can take a drink in peace in a bar located near the swimming pool and an area reserved for the orchestra

The Saly Hotel's beach is one of the resort's most attractive beaches : relatively large, it offers good quality sand. Typical of Petite Côte, however, the water is not clear due to streams. The beach is cleaned every morning. It is easily accessible from the pool and the accommodations. The amenities are sufficient : sunshades, deckchairs and especially toilets and showers (rare) are available, as well as a snack bar with a capacity of 50 place settings. Concerning water sports, there is free windsurfing, kayaking and canoeing. However, sailing with two trimarans and big game fishing are extra. It should be noted down that the club is near the fishing village. Advantage : contact with the people and a view on the comings and goings of the pirogues morning and evening. Disadvantage: the wind sometimes bring in the smell of dried fish which may indispose some people.
