The Club Med La Medina is located on the Jemaa El Fna square, and offers the lively and magical sight of this hugely popular place, at the entrance of the souks, in the heart of the Medina. It is located 3 miles from the airport (15 minutes by shuttle).
A team of about fifty GOs take care of you all day by offering classes in aqua gym and a muscular resurgence each day, an artistic singing workshop, an auditorium for recording music, petanque and ping-pong. Billards are available to customers. Bridge sessions are held each day as well as theatre and oriental dancing. A lecturer comes from outside to deliver a lecture on a topic concerning Morocco. In the evening there is a change of atmosphere: a place of animation and entertainment. Every evening, groups enliven the "Medina Bar", the main bar, with a ceiling that opens up and small oriental salons in different styles, while gnawas play their music in the "Ourika Bar", under the Berber tent. A Moroccan evening takes place once a week : a belly dancer and souks come to entertain guests. Every evening a performance takes place on the small stage set up in the "Medina Bar" where a dance floor is installed. As for sports facilities, apart from the swimming pool, where a small bridge leads to the bar, the equipment (archery fields, tennis, golf, fitness rooms) are available at the Club Med La Palmeraie, in the heart the palm grove of Marrakech. The two clubs are 9 miles away from each other. A free shuttle makes the trip every 30 minutes from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. Like its alter ego,La Palmeraie, The Medina has a spa labelled "Five Worlds", which offers fitness sessions (to be booked before departure) or a la carte treatments (to be chosen when you get there), that are mostly aromatherapy, oriental massages as well as traditional black soap scrubs, rassoul wraps and hammam hammam. Visits are organised every morning to visit the Club Med Riad.

Built in 1972, the Club Med La Medina was renovated in May 2004. The bars, restaurant and the spa have undergone renovation. The hotel consists of several, rather gloomy units, that overlook the paved pathways, the patios or the gardens ... To get a panoramic view, do not hesitate to climb to the top floor of the main building. Located on the terrace that is partly covered by a caïdale tent, the roof overlooks the Jemaa El Fna square, magic when night falls, when the braziers are lit and smells of grilled dishes rise from the stands. You can enjoy relaxing on the benches of the Moorish café, located under the tent. Situated at the entrance to the hotel, an average-sized swimming pool allows you to swim lengths but gives you less chance to relax, because the space reserved for deckchairs is quite limited. Fans of an afternoon nap under a beach umbrella can enjoy the shuttle that takes them to the 7535 ft² swimming pool at the Club Med La Palmeraie.

The hotel's 207 rooms, including 47 individual, are relatively small. They are decorated in Moroccan style (multicoloured ceramic tiles). The comfort is simple, but sufficient : bathroom with a shower, air conditioning, direct dial telephone for international calls and television. There are a dozen channels, 8 of which are French, and a DVD player with several films running in a loop and changing every two days. The rooms are not equipped with a mini bar, but have a safe. Attention, however, the arrangement of the rooms may surprise some : the twin beds are at the entrance, on ground level or at height, according to the rooms. The lounge and the bathroom form a single room without a balcony, separated by a door to the space where the beds are. There is a sofa under the window, a semi-circular shower decorated with zelliges and a washbasin. Such an arrangement is good for couples, but not for families, unless you have booked two rooms.

The hotel's restaurant overlooks Jemaa El Fna square The buffets of Mediterranean specialties are copious and varied, with stands where some dishes are prepared upon request. To our disappointment, the buffets did not include any Moroccan specialties. The decoration is very pleasant: wooden ceilings, lampshade decorated with wrought iron, light curtains and velvet wall seats.. The spacious dining room is divided into several sections to ensure the maximum privacy of diners. It is also possible to have your meals on the terrace if you wish to. For a change of setting, La Palmeraie buffet restaurant is open to customers of La Medina, as well as the Moroccan restaurant (upon reservation), which is also in La Palmeraie.
