The Coastline is an impressive hotel overlooking the Salina bay. Despite the absence of a sandy beach, you can spend pleasant holidays, thanks to some sports facilities. Modest but low-cost comfort. .

On a rocky promontory overlooking the Salina bay, near Saint Paul's Bay. Allow 40 min to get to Valetta ( shuttle from the hotel ) and to the airport ( 11 miles ).

As for sports and leisure, the hotel has 2 tennis courts and a large games room with billiards, table football, pinball and video games. If you are a lover of swimming in the sea, you can dive into the sea from a small rocky beach located 100 m away. Yet the majority of clients prefer get to the large sandy beach of Mellieha Bay ( 3 miles ). In summer, a team of 7 people offers guests a musichall show in the theatre room.

Built in 1994, the Coastline hotel is an imposing modern 6-floor building, that you cannot miss when you arrive in Salina bay. The main entrance open on a large, uncluttered lobby, lit by several Plexiglas windowpanes. From the first-floor lounges, which are arranged in galleries all around the lobby, they offer a beautiful view of the entire bay. Long, never-ending corridors provide access to the 208 rooms which follow on in a monotonous way along the entire length of the building. Outside, overhanging the coastal road which passes some meters away, there are the swimming pool ( 300 m² ) with a pool for children, an aquatic bar and a solarium furnished with deckchairs and sunshades. The hotel has a wellness centre with an indoor swimming pool, a beautiful fitness room, a jacuzzi and a sauna.

The rooms are rather spacious. They are tiled and decorated with warm salmon colours. The furniture consists of two twin beds, a desk and wardrobe. There is also a lounge area. You will have to choose between two types of view : sea view or countryside and gardens view. Ask for a room with a view of the sea, located on the 4th, 5th or 6th floor. All the rooms are air-conditioned and have a television connected by satellite, a mini bar and a direct telephone line for international calling. . The bathroom has a shower and a hair-dryer.

The hotel's main restaurant of the hotel is a large square, very impersonal and poorly decorated room. Fortunately, the large bay windows, which cover 2 entire wall sections, provide some warmth to the place ! Breakfast and dinner are served there, buffet-style. For dinner, the selection is modest : varied hors d'oeuvres , 2 hot starters, 4 courses, 1 vegetable and 1 potato of the day and 3 or 4 desserts. If you have lunch on site, you will have the choice between the pleasant modest pizzeria and the swimming pool snack bar. Do not expect to have gastronomic meals because the food is quite second-rate. It is also possible, only during the day, to have meals in your room.
