This entirely renovated   set of bungalows is ideally located at the far end of the La Somone resort. The Baobab is best characterised by its numerous sporting and cultural activities as well as a beautiful swimming pool and a large beach.

On the sea shore, at the far end of the small La Somone resort, 1.2 mile away from the village centre. The hotel is located some 37 miles away from Dakar. The journey from the airport to the hotel takes 1 h 15 minutes.

The Baobab Club has just been renovated and is a true success. It has an ideal location near a splendid lagoon and a bird reserve. Here, you can do horse riding and quad biking. Apart from traditional activities, children can enjoy the Baboo Village, reserved for them . There is a music band that plays every evening; 3 theme parties are organised every week. The hotel is closed in September.

Constructed in 1985, and entirely renovated in 2004, the Coralia Club Baobab is a village of a line of houses set in the heart of a vast calm area of 5 hectares, planted with trees and flowers. A magnificent lobby, overlooking the beach, welcomes guests before they are led into the 104 bungalows 34 of which are of superior category. The entrance leads directly to the swimming pool and the main restaurant. The bungalows are located further away, along the beach. At the end of the property are sports grounds and the handicraft village. The most demanding guests will find a beauty salon, a diving centre, many water sports activities and a children's club for 4 to 12 year olds, the Baboo Village.

The rooms have comfortable size, the furniture is  friendly  and functional. The colours are attractive and blend so beautifully with the surroundings. Half of them have a view of the sea; the others open on to the gardens. The bungalows have small bathrooms with showers or bathtubs and separate air-conditioners. Unfortunately, they have no telephone, television or mini-bar. There is a small terrace with armchairs to enjoy the evening breeze. You may choose a room with a view of the sea to watch the comings and goings of fishing boats in the morning and in the evening.

Meals are served buffet style, at midday and in the evening, on the terrace near the swimming pool or in the big dining room with an unobstructed view of the lagoon. The Gouygui is the second restaurant, located at the other end of the estate, near the sports grounds and the beach; it can accommodate 60 people and offers fixed menu and a la carte meal. The variety of the dishes is great and there is a very high quality international cuisine, notably Italian  and numerous local dishes ( roasted fish, seafood, thieboudiene, maffé ). Theme parties are regularly organised. The Baobab's catering services are completed by a beach snack bar and 3 bars.

It is unquestionably the hallmark of the Baobab. It is very easy to get to the beach since the bungalows are spread along the coast. The beach is vast (800 m in length), deep and well developed. However, the sea tends to be unclear as a result of the water streams and massive rocks therein. A very beautiful lagoon is found at the northern end. It is ideal for long walks or for those who enjoy being on their own. It is equipped with sunshades, deckchairs, showers, tables and hard stools, and a snack-bar. It has fine, brown and well maintained sand. There are various water sports activities: water skiing, snorkelling, diving centre (equipment to be renovated), big game fishing (out of the hotel), sea kayaking and pedal boat. Apart from pedal boat and snorkelling, the other activities are extra.
