Juan Antonio and Carmen, the owners, decided to restore the ancient court of Pacha Glaoui dating from the 17th century and turn it into a charming hotel. Dar Kamar, "the moon house", was opened in 2003. The owners gave special attention to the decoration. All of the elements of the decoration were designed or chosen by them. Juan designed , for example, the sinks in the bathrooms. As for decoration, they particularly featured objects brought from all over Africa and other continents. The ethnic style is predominant, a Guinea mask, fabric from Mauritania or Senegal, objects from Morocco, the Ivory Coast ... It must also be said that Juan Antonio is first and foremost a brave photographer and from each trip, especially in the African deserts, he narrates his findings. After having pushed the heavy wooden door, you arrive at a small patio with a fountain, candles and incense. Small lounges and library areas are arranged around this patio. On the roof, a large terrace with deckchairs and umbrellas provide a moment of relaxation in the sun while admiring the roofs of the kasbah and with Atlas mountains for background scenery. A traditional hammam is located on the terrace.

Dar Kamar offers 12 rooms, all decorated differently. Again, every detail of decoration is not chosen randomly. The materials of Morocco were used. Composed of a small office, a bedroom area and a bathroom, they offer complete comfort. Here; you will find a telephone, air conditioning / heating and ADSL access. There is no television, but you can have one upon request. The bathroom is the most original, the design of the basin came from the Juan's imagination. Bathrobes and hair dryers are available. Each room will takes you into a completely different ambiance.

A restaurant located in another building but can be accessed via the terrace, offers Moroccan cuisine. 2 Moroccan chefs will prepare small meals for you. Breakfast is served in the form of a bugget, and for other meals you can choose from the menu and dishes upon request. The dining room is decorated with refinement. By the windows, the view of the tops of the kasbah is beautiful. A roof terrace overlooking the Kasbah allows you to enjoy the view. A superb view at sunset. A tent with Berber carpets and cushions allows you sit and eat or drink some mint tea.
