The Embudu is located in the Malé Nord atoll, 45 minutes away by dhoni and 35 minutes away by speed boat from Malé airport, across from the Taj Exotica hotel, and not very far from the Laguna Beach and Vadoo hotels.

The majority of clients come here to dive, snorkelling being favored with the reef located several strokes away from the beach. The hotel offers an all-inclusive package.
Underwater diving:
Diverland is the diving centre responsible for classes at the Embudu according to the PADI method. Dives are organised around the famous "Victory" shipwreck.

The Embudu is a very simple and standard hotel. Built in 1979, it could use rejuvenation of its infrastructures, rooms... We did not like the disturbance produced by the treatment plan, located across from the bungalows on piers. The latter are not very attractive from the outside and the air conditioning is visible. However, the hotel offers a spa. No swimming pool, but a diving centre and a water sports base, volleyball court, badminton, tennis, scuba diving and snorkeling, excursions, Internet access... The welcome is warm.

72 superior rooms and 36 standard rooms extend throughout the island, offering unfortunately little comfort and just the basics... We advise against the standard rooms that do not offer hot water, air conditioning, telephone, mini-bar, but a fan and a mosquito net. The superiors offer air conditioning, telephone, hot water and a hair dryer. These rooms have bathrooms with a shower. They have a terrace in front of the sea but the view is obstructed by trees. The 16 bungalows on piers are more pleasant, in units of 4, with a bay window and a terrace, a glass tiled floor so that you can see the fish swimming below. Lined with wooden flooring, they have air conditioning, a refrigerator, a safe, television. The bathrooms have a shower, a bathtub or a whirlpool bath, and a hair dryer.

The main restaurant offers meals served buffet style, with 4-person tables. We did not find it very pleasant. In addition, a Coffee Shop and a bar on the edge of the lagoon.

The beach is lined with rather fine sand but there are corals. Hammocks welcome you. A part of the beach has rocks either in the water or on the beach. The water sports base offers windsurfing, canoeing, catamaran...
