Songkran, or the New Water Festival, as it is also know, is the most important of all Thai festivals and holidays. It marks the beginning of a new astrological year and is much in keeping with the old lunar calendar of Siam. It is officially celebrated this year on April 12, but the festival actually takes place over a period of four days. This year the festival will kick-off on 13 April. The centre

Situated at the level of Rawai Beach, the Evason is installed in height and overlooks the bay. It is around an hour from the airport of Phuket by car. The capital of the island, Phuket Town, is 25 minutes away and 40 minutes from Patong Beach.
Because of the size of the hotel, the guests can move around thanks to common golf carts.
The Evason Phuket belongs to the Evason Resorts hotel chain and to the Six Senses Resorts and Spas. This will ensure a certain level of quality of infrastructures and services. In addition, the hotel has a complete environmental protection programme.

The external hall of the hotel does not let you see much of the rest of the complex. A few stairs decorated with ponds of water lilies lead to the lobby. Between the two reception desks there is a tunnel which progressively displays an infinity pond as well as a superb view of the Andaman Sea. The hotel, built in stair shape, has only a maximum of two floors per building.
The establishment has three different swimming pools. A small infinity pool is installed just above the sea; the second one is wrapped up in the gardens and the main swimming pool is located in the same place as the fitness room. Its round shapes perfectly blend with the decoration. All swimming pools are equipped with wooden beach chairs and sunshades.
The hotel has two spas. The first one has 12 indoor and outdoor massage rooms, some of which are exclusively dedicated to Thai massage. The products used are Australian. The second spa is located on Bon Island, a private island belonging to the hotel.

There are 270 rooms of different categories. The standard room is spacious. You will find either a king-size bed or two twin beds. Above, a canopy mosquito net will protect you from the insects. A bench represents the sitting room. The decoration skilfully blends black and white with warm colours such as orange, yellow and red. The balcony is big enough to accommodate a wooden table and two chairs. Concerning equipment: TV, safe, air conditioning, filled minibar, direct international line, hairdryer and 24 hour room service. With regard to the bathroom, its opening on the room between the two visible basins allows to paddle in your bath or shower facing the outside view.

The Evason disposes of five restaurants one of which, Onto The Island, is situated on its private island. You can taste there Thai cuisine for dinner. It will also be possible to eat a light lunch at the Casual Beach Restaurant, also situated on Bon Island. |The main restaurant of the hotel, Into The View, works buffet style for breakfast and dinner and offers international cuisine. Into The Beach is a beach restaurant on the sand and opposite the Andaman Sea. It is open for lunch and offers, for example, freshly-made pizzas or meet grilled on the barbecue. In the evening the bar is open till 1am. Into Thai takes care of Thai cuisine too, but only for dinner. Just next the latter, Into The Med offers Mediterranean cuisine with Spanish, French, Greek, Moroccan and Italian influences.

You will not find a beach just below the hotel, regardless the bird's eye view of the Andaman Sea it offers. You simply need to get on the hotel shuttle and in 15 minutes you will not be at the beach but at the private island of the establishment. Clear water and fine sand are in the programme!
