The hotel Foya Branca is located on the island of Sao Vicente, near the fishing village of Sao Pedro, less than 1 mile away from the airport. Mindelo, the main town on the island is 3 miles away. Free shuttles run to and from Mindelo.

Foya Branca Resort represents an ensemble of villas and rooms available near the beautiful beach of Sao Pedro. The hotel was undergoing renovation and expansion during our stay. The buildings, all revealing modern architecture, are built around the swimming pool in a site spreading on 3 hectares. The hotel is equipped with 3 swimming pools including one for children.

The Foya Branca is composed of 16 suites, 4 single rooms and 6 villas. And the hotel has 52 rooms, including 45 double rooms with a sea view. There is no air conditioning in the villas, just a fan. They are equipped with a bathroom with shower, 2 sinks, a hair dryer and television, a telephone line, a mini bar and a safe. The villas are composed of 2, 3 or 4 bedrooms, a kitchenette with a fridge and a lounge. Large terraces equipped with hammocks, deckchairs, chairs and a table overlook the pool. The room decoration is pleasant, the white colour is dominant. Pictures and colourful curtains dress up the walls.

The snack restaurant is open for lunch and the restaurant a la carte is open for dinner. Decorated in the African style, the a la carte restaurant is dressed in warm colours and with African style paintings. An orchestra plays occasionally. The cuisine is mainly composed of local products . The snack bar has a covered part but open to the sea and a large terrace. The furniture is made of teak. On Saturdays and Sundays, a buffet is served with traditional Cape Verdean and Portuguese dishes (cod fish. ..).

A beautiful 2 miles long sandy beach stretches at the foot of the hotel, but swimming is not advised there because these waters are dangerous. A water sports centre "Blue discovery" has just opened doors and offers many activities. You will be supervised by a French-Cape Verdean team, quite friendly and professional.
