The Grand Hotel Park is located in the seaside area of Lapad Bay, about 2 miles west of Dubrovnik's historic centre. It is a 25 minute drive from the airport. Isolated in a residential area, it is, however, close to the centre of Lapad's seaside resort.
The public bus 6 stops every 15 minutes, a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The bus stops at the other hotels of the peninsula on its way to the historic centre of Dubrovnik.
The Grand Hotel Park is greatly prized by Eastern European high level athletes for its room capacity and its heated indoor sea water pool.

It is a large, 7-storey, white building, unfortunately without a lot of vegetation, pines, cypresses and other fragrant Mediterranean plants. Built in 1968 and renovated in 1998, it offers 156 rooms and 6 suites. The common areas are rather dull, and the hallways are plain. Both swimming pools (one indoor heated sea water pool, and one outdoor) are spacious. The indoor pool features large bay windows. Sea-green, blue and white tiles make this area peaceful and pleasant. Outdoor pool with sea view. Unfortunately, there is no garden.

The rooms are not very large (approximately 140 square feet). Each room, furnished in basic light-coloured wood, has air conditioning (centrally controlled), a telephone with direct international access, satellite television, and a mini-bar. Shower and hair dryer in the bathroom. All rooms have a balcony with a view of the sea (50%) or the mountain. There is a safe at the front desk. 71 rooms were renovated in 2000.

The dining room of the large indoor restaurant is bright and decorated with flowers. Dinner is served at the table, and the other meals are served buffet-style. Mediterranean and international cuisine. The hotel also offers an outdoor restaurant, a pub, a tavern, and a beach snack. Croatian and international cuisine.

The hotel has no beach. The closest beach is the large, fine sand, public beach of the Lapad peninsula, accessible over the road - a 5 minute walk. It offers deckchairs (for a fee), and showers. A large nautical base is open in high season. The water is limpid, and the mistral wind only picks up in the late afternoon.
