This hotel belongs to Sunland, the same chain as Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu. There is a real tranquillity. Here, it is an hour more than in Male. You can write your names on a wooden plate, which you can plant wherever you wish on the island.
Underwater diving :
The coral reef is close to the beach and accessible to swimming. The diving centre is PADI certified. Classes are given for all levels. More than 35 diving sites are accessible.

At the Makunudu, you will spend a calm and isolated vacation. Here, you really feel like you're at the end of the earth. From the bar's terrace, you have a panoramic ocean view since the island is not big. It is small; you can quickly go around it. The island is very pleasant, cranes are on the beach, standing straight, and look at each other, not aware of you. Here, nature has taken its place and the beautiful green vegetation has broken free. Here there is no luxury and no pretention. There are few facilities but the essentials to spend a nice, friendly vacation are there : a bar and a restaurant open on the sea, a steakhouse, your bungalow in front of the sea, protected by trees with your own deckchairs and sunshade, a diving school and a water sports base, Internet access, a library with TV area, a shop, beach volleyball, badminton, table tennis. The reception area is covered with sand. The warm panoramic bar, also covered with sand, has music entertainment every evening, by candlelight. Once a week, a Maldivian night (songs and dances) is organised, as well as an orchestra night. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxation is on the program. Since the hotel is not big, people quickly meet each other. During your stay at the hotel, the reservation with Jet Tours includes introductory diving in the lagoon, an excursion on a resort island, with barbecue lunch, a diving outing with mask and snorkel, and a night fishing outing in dhoni.

36 standard but pleasant bungalows, air conditioned, with a bed for couples or two single beds, a lounge area, desk, fan, telephone, mini-bar, safe. No television. The rooms are all decorated in wood, rattan and coco leaves. The rooms have windows and a glass door that gives direct access to the beach, protected by trees. When you enter your room, you will have the pleasure of discovering how the staff has decorated your bed with care... A thousand and one flowers will adorn your little nest. The semi-open bathrooms have a shower. They are small. It is possible to be served in your room for breakfast. Beach towels are available in the rooms. You will like Makunudu. The only minor negative point: when you leave your room, your doors close and you could remain trapped outside. Don't forget your keys even if you go to the stairway !

Check-ins are done for full-board. Breakfast and lunch are served buffet-style in the only restaurant open outside, that has a wood flooring. It offers hearty menus with several choices for soup and a starter, a main course and a dessert. There are theme nights (Maldivian, barbecue, etc.). The food is very good. You will eat well there. The setting is warm, lit by candles, decorated in wood and rattan. A steakhouse will also delight you. Tea is offered every day about 4:00 p.m.

Each room is equipped with deckchairs with mattresses and sunshades. The beach is nice, despite some corals even though it is cleaned every day. We noticed some little creeks with many rocks, where the water is hard to get to. There are also corals in the water. The water sports base offers catamaran and windsurfing free of charge. Canoeing and water skiing are for a fee. The hotel loans you flippers, masks and snorkels.
