The Merlin Beach resort is situated 10 minutes from Patong, 50 minutes from the airport, which is 29 miles and 10 miles from Phuket town, which is half an hour by car.

Swimming from the Merlin beach is impossible due to numerous corals. However, the hotel compensates with numerous very nice swimming pools. Also, shuttles goes and comes from Patong beach all day long. The hotel includes two rooms adapted to disabled people. There is live music every night in the lobby, from 6:30 pm till midnight.

Organised activities
Sport activities, painting or cuisine shops are offered all day. The organised activites are discreet and preserve the tranquillity of everyone.

The Merlin was renovated in 2004 because of the damages caused by the Tsunami. A big and only building accommodates the 414 rooms of the hotel. It is dotted with well-ventilated spaces, terraces, restaurants, bars and swimming pools. 3 swimming pools surrounded by solarium and trees, 4 restaurants decorated with beautiful terraces with different atmospheres.

The 414 rooms are divided in 251 deluxe, 119 superior rooms and 7 suites. 37 rooms on the ground floor benefit from a direct access to the swimming pool. The deluxe have a beautiful area of 387 ft². Here, luxury and comfort are the keywords. Here, the decoration is classic but warm. They have all sea view. They disposes of a small balcony, satellite TV, a complete tea and coffee kit, Internet access, minibar, slippers and umbrellas. The superior are smaller but benefit from an additional free safe and a light central control panel. The bathrooms are spacious and have a view of the room. They have a big shower and bathtub, numerous well presented welcome products and hairdryer.

The four restaurants of the Merlin offer different atmospheres and cuisines. The Phuket coffee serves a beautiful fully-equipped buffet for breakfast, offers an international a la carte menu for lunch and an international buffet for dinner. The Shang Thai is an a la carte restaurant open from 6:30pm till 10:30pm. La Gondola is the Italian restaurant and works like the previous one. Finally, the Tri Trang focuses on an international and fish cuisine served buffet style also for dinner. The buffet dinners are open till 10pm.

The beach situated opposite the Merlin is very beautiful but swimming there is unfortunately not allowed because of the corals. Beach chairs and beach umbrellas are also arranged there and are free for the guests of the hotel.
