The Paladien Apolonia is located at the centre of Saint-Leu, on the road running along the beach. A ticket vending machine, post office and shops are located nearby.
Well suited for families, the hotel has a kid's club (for 3 to 12 years old), which is open during school holidays.
Sports enthusiasts will have a wide choice of activities. Just a note, among others: hiking tours are supervised by an accompanying instructor into the heart of the mountain and introduction courses to surfing and bodyboard are provided by a qualified instructor.

A must to see, with its mansard roofs crowning its U-shaped building, the Paladien Apolonia is organized around a beautiful swimming pool - 5,380 ft². With its pleasant lines, enlivened by islets of greenery and a wooden bridge that connects the restaurant to a section that houses part of the rooms. Around the swimming pool you can find deckchairs (with mattresses) and sunshades for your privacy, letting you indulge in the pleasure of be lulled under the branches of coconut trees that move gently in the sea breeze. Those wishing a more active vacation will only have to consult the schedule of events at the reception: ping-pong, gym, petanque tournaments (French lawn bowling) and games are scheduled daily. As for the hotel's facilities, we should mention the glass elevator dominating the reception area, which will whisk you to the upper floors. It nevertheless remains a place of passage where priority is given to space and functional decoration.

Unless you are accommodated near the elevator, you can reach your room along corridors that may seem endless since they are poorly lit. Fortunately, things come together when you reach your room. Among the 129 rooms at the Apolonia, half have a sea view (front or side). The others overlook the swimming pool or the mountain at the back. Quite spacious, they have a balcony equipped with a garden lounge in white wood. The rest of the furniture is made of rattan, in pleasant honey tones. In contrast, the upholstery has blue-green printed fabric The room's amenities include air conditioning, a safe, telephone and television (3 broadcasting local channels of La Réunion). However, there is no mini-bar. The bathrooms, spacious and well designed, have a bathtub. The toilets are separate.

Located in a room opening onto the pool, the restaurant is airy and bright. You could easily forget about the virtually non-existant decor. White walls, beige flooring and simply varnished wooden tables concentrate you on eating. Served buffet style, food is abundant. In the morning, there is a hearty breakfast, including cereals, buns, pastries, omelets, cooked meats, cheese, yogurt and fresh fruits. In the evening, the dishes illustrate Asian, Creole or Mediterranean cuisine, among others. At noon, a second restaurant takes over the service. You can order a salad or a much more elaborate dish, such as carpaccio of swordfish and a filet of ostrich.

The beach is located opposite the hotel, on the other side of the road. Of volcanic and coral origin, it is made up of black and white grains of sand. As it is a public beach, no special facilities are provided. Do not forget to bring along your towel and sunshade, if you want to bask on the sand (do not forget that the Paladien Apolonia does not provide towels). For amateurs, a basic introduction to surfing and bodyboarding is offered. You can also borrow equipment for snorkeling (fins, mask and snorkel). Nearby, there are water sports centres offering diving and game fishing courses.
