Review: Pavilion Samui Hotel
Here is a hotel where we can enjoy our holiday! The Pavilion Samui is a small hotel located along Lamai Beach. Here the guests are quite young. Its Thai architecture is a real success, we must not forget the comfort of its rooms. This is a location to be kept secret!

Songkran, or the New Water Festival, as it is also know, is the most important of all Thai festivals and holidays. It marks the beginning of a new astrological year and is much in keeping with the old lunar calendar of Siam. It is officially celebrated this year on April 12, but the festival actually takes place over a period of four days. This year the festival will kick-off on 13 April. The centre

Shopping lovers should know that they will find many shops, restaurants and massage parlours all the way to the exit.

Several stairs allow for the access from the street to the lobby of the Pavilion. The outside reception is simply protected by a typical Thai style roof. The small entrance hall is rather simple and does not show the small jewel hidden behind. Two desks serve as the reception to the right of the room, facing two small lounge areas with dark wood furniture. Stairs will allow you to have access to the other communal areas of the hotel, especially to the rooms. You just need to go close to the Andaman Sea to reach the pool. Its round shapes perfectly match the decor. It has a beautiful view of the beach and the sea. A shallow pool allows for children to bath without danger. Several deckchairs have been placed around, but most of them are found along the beach.
The small spa of the hotel is a great success which offers innovative treatments. Six treatment rooms are arranged around a beautiful central fountain. They are all equipped with two massage beds, which can be separated one from the other. The masseuses are real experts!

At the start, there were only several bungalows, now the Pavilion has 70 rooms. There are four different categories: 28 superior spa rooms, 20 junior spa suites, 18 hydro Pool villas and 4 grand pool villas. The standard rooms are arranged in a one level construction. Ask for a room on the first floor to have more intimacy on your balcony. The smallest room measures 400 ft². The king size bed dominates the centre of the room. Maroon colours and wood combine to perfection. The decor combines traditional objects with the technology of the amenities: television, air conditioning, safe, mini-bar with tea and coffee set, direct international line, hair dryer and room service until midnight. The bathroom is equally very well designed with its eye-catching vanity, arranged on a black marble plate and its straw lamps. Here you will find a hair dryer and hospitality products. The luckiest people will be able to enjoy their own private pool in their villas on the ground floor. You can even transform the pool into a Jacuzzi...

The main restaurant of the hotel, The Patio, works as a buffet in the morning and a la carte for lunch and dinner. Here the environment is very enjoyable, however, sometimes it can be a bit noisy. It is located outdoors, protected by a roof and surrounded by a pond with water lilies. In the centre of the room, there is a raised platform where the tables are placed. The menu offers Asian as well as international dishes. One week will not be enough for you to try everything! For a light breakfast, come to the Scenic Corner which will offer you a snack menu. Finally, for the sunset, enjoy the beautiful view from the Lookout Bar...

The establishment has placed several long chairs on the sand, although beaches in Thailand are public. Other wooden deckchairs have been placed in the solarium, just above the latter. Lamai Beach is much calmer and a less frequented spot than Chaweng Beach. Since it is located at the end of the beach, the Pavilion benefits from the calm of the place. You will not be bothered by street vendors all day long. The sand is soft, the water is clear and the current is not very strong in this place.
