Opened in July 2007, the Royal Atlas is a luxurious and modern establishment punctuated by Moroccan objects. On the Atlantic Ocean, it offers customers maximum comfort and a good choice as far as restaurants are concerned. Its main assets, and there are many, are particularly the superb spa, designed to look like an old Moroccan hamam, its very trendy nightclub and its large lagoon swimming pool.

Price and availability of the Hotel
Located in the tourist centre of the resort and in the middle of the bay of Agadir, the Royal Atlas is located on the seafront, not far from the restaurants and shops. Just 10 minutes of walking is enough to reach the city centre. To reach the hotel from the airport (located 15 miles away), it takes about 30 minutes !
The disco (open from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.) of the Royal Atlas is a must for the nightlife in Agadir. Its world marries the dark tones of the furniture with sleek forms and rococo sofas, of a Stark design. The platinum selling DJs tower above the dance floor at the top of their tower. Spotlights and flat screens dress the vast space with its changing lights. You must see it !
Lodging tips:
The best rooms are undoubtedly those located above the main bar in the central building. The view of the sea is right in front and the main living places are right next door.

Opened in July 2007, the Royal Atlas is was built on the space previously occupied by the Palm Beach. A large complex of four 4-storey buildings, it is more or less a U-shape and has a view onto the immensity of the Atlantic Ocean. In the middle, a large lagoon pool divided into three sections unfolds on an area of easily 52970 cubic feet. All around, you will discover pathways, palm trees and a large number of deckchairs, visible from the reception hall with its large glass roof on two floors. Inside, the decoration of the place combines comfort and modernity, punctuated by numerous typically Moroccan objetcs. Precisely, it is the superb spa that you need to go to immerse yourself in a traditional Moroccan atmosphere, subdued and relaxing. Walls covered with gray tadelak are in harmony with the archways and curtains, the massage rooms are closed off by giant and heavy wooden doors with thick grooms... The treatments use argan oil, black traditional soap and Daniel Jouvance products. In addition: hydro-massage showers, a whirlpool bath ... The fitness room with 3 flat screens is very well equipped. A number of areas indoors invite you to have a drink comfortably in a very carefully designed ambiance. From 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. a pianist plays live in the lounge and in the reception bar. On the way, do not forget to check your emails in the futuristic internet café! Just before the promenade along the Bay of Palms, the kids-club is located below. The outdoor games take place on a synthetic carpet. In addition, a large colourful room can accommodate children. The columns here are well protected with thick layers in order to avoid any accidents. However, the lack of vegetation here is regrettable.

The hotel complex consists of 338 rooms including 28 suites of various types. They are accessed through carpetted, wide corridors. Very large, the standard rooms in the symmetrical buildings 2 and 4 each cover 387 ft², those in the main building cover 344 ft², and the rest situated near to the sea, cover 409 ft². All of the rooms have been built with a balcony (small for the standard rooms) or a terrace. The high quality dark wood furniture, fancy, high headboards, carmine bedspreads on comfortable bedding and heavy curtains that are able to isolate the large sofa, form a very deigner and modern environment. As for the suites, they are impressive for their size, their orange colour and their amenities offering complete comfort. All rooms are equipped with direct telephone for international dialling, a fridge, flat-screen television with 36 channels, Internet connection, a free safe and individual air-conditioning. As for the bathroom, which is impeccable, you will find inspiration in the beautiful bath tub, a rectangular basin topped by a long mirror, bathrobes, slippers, a beauty mirror, a hair dryer and welcome products branded Royal Atlas. The toilets are separate from the bathroom.

In front of the Royal Atlas is the promenade, giving direct access to the beach. Only the floor tiles and the lighting were left to be installed when we visited in February 2008 ! The nuisance of ongoing construction work is over ! Between Lookéa Tafoukt and Club Med, the hotel has a large and broad beach that is always animated by the resort's vibrant life. In a large, private and enclosed space, customers can enjoy relaxing on the many plastic deckchairs and woven umbrellas. One thing that is rare, bins are provided to ensure the cleanliness of place. The hotel does not offer water sports. You will need to speak to the various private rental offices on the beach to rent equipment. Here as elsewhere on the bay, almost at zero sea level, the sand is fine, golden and regularly cleaned by the city authorities. On the foreshore, a few rocks and large stones should be avoided. Watch out, it is often windy in the evening.
