Located along the beach, 16 miles from the airport, the Sofitel benefits from its distance from other hotels, guaranteeing serenity for sunbathers on the beach. Of course, this distance becomes a disadvantage when a shopping spree comes to your mind because the hotel is the farthest away from the tourist centre. Moreover, you should plan about ten minutes by bus to reach the city centre.
Until not long ago, the Sofitel was the latest hotel to be built on Agadir Bay, before the establishment of the Palais royal. A novelty to note, the hotel is soon to be expanded and a hotel of the Robinson chain is to be build aside it, without counting the work on the promenade that approaches the hotel.
The Lounge is unmissable for nightlife in Agadir. Different bands stage shows every evening from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. When a major event takes place in Agadir, this is where you go at the beginning or the end of the evening. One thing that is rare, is that it is even good to go on a weekday ! Then, visit the So Fun disco bar to continue the night.
As for entertainment, to the cooking school that trains amateur guests how to prepare Moroccan dishes every day at 4 p.m.

Built in 2002, the Sofitel Agadir has 276 rooms, including 18 suites and 5 Junior villas (3 with a swimming pool). The hotel's architecture is Arab-Andalusian style and is designed around a vast atrium protected by large red awnings on the ceiling, giving it very pleasant variations of light during the day. The place is ideal for drinking a glass of mint tea and enjoying the serenity that surrounds it. Located on the long beach of Agadir, this luxury hotel is not, however, overlooking the sea : only some 50 rooms have a balcony and the living spaces do not offer the opportunity to enjoy the ocean view. The hotel radiates a large swimming pool of 30140 ft² spanned by small bridges with many relaxation spaces on different levels (hammock, mattresses for massages, cushions). Here, the concept "Spa by Accor Thalassa" is very successful : in the traditional, very pleasant part of the spa, decorated in cream and brown colours, customers can particularly enjoy the hammam and the treatments with argan oil or white clay. The other space uses signature treatments (for example : those of Carita).
Adjacent, the fitness gym is well equipped, even with 3 television screens and parquet flooring.
Take a trip to the kid's club ! The large room contains treasures for young guests: games, stuffed animals and even gardening kits. Just next door is the dance hall. Outside, the pony club on the beach awaits cowboys in short trousers.

The hotel's 276 rooms overlook the swimming pool or the sea, but don't have a balcony, except for in the suites. Relatively small, they are nevertheless pleasant and meticulously decorated. The wooden furniture includes a small desk, a very comfortable king-size bed ("My Bed" Sofitel), a wall bench, closets, pretty iron lamps and mirrors ... Everything here is functionally designed, with individual air conditioning, wifi internet. You also have a large TV (flat screen in the suites and the Deluxe) with 22 channels, a well-stocked mini-bar (alcohol and fruit juice) and an electronic safe at no extra charge . You will also find a large marble bathroom with a bath tub, a hair dryer, bathrobes, a beauty mirror, scales and plenty of Sofitel branded welcome products provided in the standard rooms or the Roger Gallet brand in Deluxe rooms and the suites. A nice railing separates the bidet and the toilet (two in the suites) in the bathroom. Room service is available 24 hours a day.

A Sofitel, you will find multiple places to eat : 3 restaurants serving a la carte, a buffet, and several bars.
La Caravane is the main restaurant, where breakfast is served, with homemade pastries (from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.), and dinner (from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.). A large, well-arranged dining room with a Moroccan atmosphere, you can dine very well here and the dishes are varied (international and local cuisine). During the week, the thematic buffet changes every night. La Nasse is available for lunch and dinner. At lunchtime, we offer you the "fish market", where you pick your own meal from the fish freshly caught that morning. Here, you will discover the concept of Moroccan-Asian cuisine in the evening. The hotel tries to have a chef in charge who offers a different kind of cuisine every two months.
Beside the swimming pool, the Hamac bar invites you to taste its seasonal fruit cocktails.
The a la carte restaurant of Arganier offers meals at midday and in the afternoon to enjoy fast food outdoors, always based on argan oil.
Every evening, the Lounge Bar, indoors, offers a live musical atmosphere where local artists are often very well selected.
Finally, the Shisha café and the Havana Lounge are reserved for lovers of cigars and hookah.

The Sofitel is located directly on the long and spacious beach of Agadir. A wooden pathway, punctuated by lanterns on the ground, is bordered with cacti and crocus and heads towards the sea. On one side of the hotel, you can see the construction work on the promenade on the beach (February 2008). For the moment, the work is still far away, but it is getting closer and closer. In the privately monitored section of the hotel, wooden deck chairs, mattresses, straw umbrellas, design hammocks and towels are all available and invite you to sunbath away from other hotels in the area.
Two canopy beds are placed on the beach to enjoy massages while you watch the incessant waves of the Atlantic Ocean. A Bedouin tent allows you to rest in a typical Moroccan ambiance a few steps from the sea. The water sports clubs offers sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, jet skiing ... Here as elsewhere on the bay, almost at zero sea level, the sand is fine, golden and regularly cleaned by the city authorities. On the foreshore, there are no pebbles. Note that the wind blows often in the evening.
