The time is the same as in Male. A show is performed every evening at 5:00 p.m. Of interest: volley ball, water polo, football, badminton, etc. And at 9:30 p.m., a concert. A French guide comes twice a week for a visit to the neighbouring islands.$$ Little activity unique to the Velidhoo: Bernard Lhermitte race in a circle at the bar.
For honeymooners: special newlyweds price, fruit and wine basket offered by Kuoni.
Underwater diving:
The lessons are in French. The coral reef is 50 m from the beach. 30 underwater diving sites are between a 5-minute and 1 hour trip. Night underwater dives are organised, around shipwrecks. The sites are all well-known for their Manta rays, turtles, hammerhead sharks and barracudas.

The Velidhoo was built during the 1970's. It has 100 rooms: 80 Beach Villas located on the beach, and 20 Water Bungalows, on ocean piers.
Its pleasant bar has a terrace, and opens onto the beach. The Velidhoo has a very simple Indian spa, with a fitness room, free for people who get a massage, 10 dollars per day for others. It has a ping-pong table, a library, a television room, an underwater diving centre, a water sports centre, etc.

The Velidhoo contains the Water Bungalows, with a mezzanine, television, full mini-bar, direct telephone with international calling, air conditioning and a fan. A safe box is available at the front desk. The sitting room has a section of floor made out of glass that allows you to walk above the fish below. The bathrooms have a jacuzzi, bathtub or a shower with a hair dryer, painted in white, with ceiling spotlights, and large mirrors. The wooden terraces have several chairs. The Velidhoo also has Beach Villas, made of round, white concrete blocks and palm-leaf roofs. Here, unlike the Water Bungalows, there is no television. The bathrooms contain a shower and a hair dryer.

The restaurant is one of the only restaurants in the Maldives to have separate smokers and non-smokers sections. We have to say that it's not very attractive. Low white ceiling, also with white columns. A snack service operates from 10:00 a.m. to 12 Noon and from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Very romantic private dinners are organised at the end of the marina. They are very well maintained and the cuisine is suprisingly better than he buffet.

The beach is rather big, with beautiful sand. However, you will find twigs and little pebbles there. There is a big height level difference in the water, which is translucent. You can swim leisurely. There are no rocks. On the beach, some deckchairs and sunshade umbrellas. The bar opens onto the beach, with a sea-view terrace. The water sports offered are: banana board, canoeing, windsurfing, ringo, water skiing, catamaran, etc.
