On Eysturoy Island, follow the northeastern coast from Funningsfjordur to Gjov. The long road first runs along the west side of the fjord, then starting in Funningur it begins to twist upwards and has beautiful viewpoints onto the village in the bottom of the valley, and also onto the fjord's entrance. Gjov is one of the northernmost Faroese villages. There, the Atlantic-lashed rocky coast and the waves have dug a canyon in the cliff. Park on the platform at the top of the village, the canyon is right next to it.
