On Vagar Island, go along the Southern coast in direction of Sandavagur. This village is typical for its white and red church that dates back to 1919. The inside is very clear and richly decorated by chandeliers. Notice the painting situated above the altar, which represents fishermen at sea, as well as the boat model suspended from the roof: these two elements are found in all of the Faroese churches, and they remind you that most islanders still live off fishing activities. Discover the West coast, from Sorvagur to Bour. The journey offers a spectacular panorama of Mykines Island, the neighbouring island of Gasholmur and Tindholmur Islands.
