History

Air One is an Italian airline which used to go by the name Aliadriatica, founded in 1983 in Pescara. Its headquarters are in Chieti. In November 1995 Aliadriatica becomes Air One which has become Italy's main private airline as it serves over 33% of the national market. Air One is the 2nd biggest airline after Alitalia with a difference of 15%.

Alliances

Air One belongs to the 'Toto' (Toto Costruzioni Generali ) group managed by Carlo Toto. The group bought the Alitalia assets on 12th January 2009 which lead to the Alitalia-Air One fusion earlier on this year (13th January 2009).
In 2000, Air One joined member of star Alliance, Lufthansa. This group unites the world's main airlines, allowing Air One to make code share agreements with star Alliance members. Air One is also part of the AEA, (Association of European Airlines).
