Founded in 1932, LAN airlines (consisting of LAN Argentina, LAN Chili, LAN Equator and LAN Peru), is one of the oldest airlines.
A public company until 1989, LAN was originally Chili’s national airline. Since its privatisation, it has created subsidiaries in many Central and South American countries. In 2009 its fleet consisted of more than 80 aircraft (Airbus and Boeing).
