History

Ryanair is the leading low cost airline in France and Belgium.

Like Aer Lingus, its headquarters are situated in Dublin, Ireland. The company was founded by Tony Ryan in 1985.

Aiming to provide a low cost alternative to Aer Lingus and British Airways, Ryanair’s first line of attack was the Dublin-London route. Today its fleet consists of 166 Boeing 737.

Ryanair’s massive growth in the 90s has been accredited to company president Michael O'Leary, who elevated the airline’s status making it one of the key players in the European air industry.

Ryanair does not surrently have any partners.

Customer services on board

The low fares are the principal reason to choose Ryanair.

Don't forget that the price indicated on the website does not include booking fees or luggage fees.

To keep travel costs low, Ryanair generally flies to aeroports which are quite far from the city centre. Keep this in mind when estimating the duration of yur journey.

As with British Airways, Ryanair will not accept luggage weighing over 32kg. There are supplementary charges for luggage weighing over 15kg.

As for service on board, you have to pay for refreshments, and there are no complementary newspapers.
