Ajaccio is worth seeing for its historical neighbourhood, spread around the old port. Take the Quai Napoleon and then Boulevard Casanova until you reach Rue Roi-de-Rome. At the corner of Rue Forciolo-Conti and Rue Saint-Charles you will see the Venetian-style cathedral, built in the 16th Century, and home to the baptismal font that was used to baptise Napoleon.
