  • The Grand Place

The birthplace of Robespierre, François Vidocq and Guy Mollet, and the capital of the old county of Artois, Arras is located in a hilly green setting. It stands out because of the beauty of its squares, churches and Flemish-style buildings.
Bursting with history, the town was almost razed to the ground during the First World War, but thanks to the remarkable determination of its inhabitants it was rebuilt exactly as it was before. This dynamism can still be seen today in the economic and cultural influence enjoyed by the town.
