Wood-clad walls, culture, beer and rock 'n' roll are what this unique establishment is all about. You certainly won't be on your own for more than five minutes in this place before someone comes over for a chat (unless, of course, you have serious problems socialising!). Indeed, the best words to sum up this bar are undoubtedly 'sharing' and 'socialising'. You'll find the ambience here has something of an old-fashioned cafe about it, not least because people tend to prefer to sit at the bar chewing the fat with the owner or other patrons than at a table. Lunch here consists of a selection of homemade sandwiches (their famous chicken mayonnaise is a must!), plentiful platters of local ham and cheese, a walnut salad and a dish of the day, all washed down with a small homemade beer produced just a few miles away.
