There are three major symphonic orchestras in Paris, namely the Orchestre de Paris and the two Radio France orchestras, the Orchestre Philarmonique de Radio France (Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra) and the Orchestre National de France (French National Orchestra).
These are becomingly increasingly aware of contemporary creations and are attempting to reach a wider audience whilst remaining true to their traditional repertoires.
The orchestras play primarily at the Théâtre Mogador and the Maison de Radio France.
