Just as the name may lead you to believe, it all started with a dream.
Or rather, to be more accurate, a meeting.
In 1974 in Dijon, Jo Pillet, a painter and sculptor from Savoy, met Dominique Nurdin, a French teacher.
As they chatted, an idea began to take hold in their minds.
Both were attracted by the desert-like landscape often attributed to Lozère, and allowed their artistic spirits to wander, thinking up a structure that they would subsequently construct in this no-man's-land.
Thus was born the concept of vital architecture in a home's design, drawing inspiration both from the work of Dali and from the structures of some traditional homes (for example igloos and bories).
Wasting no time in bridging the void between their imagination and reality, they purchased 27 acres at a place known as 'La Sirvente' on the 'Causse de Sauveterre' near Champeroux, and transformed it, thanks to the artistic talent of Jo Pillet, into a creative space ruled by the rocks and the wind.
'Sculpture Guidon', 'Ruban Cannettes ou Dragon', 'Plateforme Panorama ou plongeoir', 'Glace à la Planète', 'Aire de Jeux', 'Dinosaure', 'Coccibulle', 'Lecteur CD à 2 places' and 'Crocotuiles' are just a few of the works this creative genius has produced, all the while recycling, assembling, removing meaning and breathing it back in (but now without financial worries).
The works are proudly displayed at the top of their wooded hill, offering visitors a few poetic moment at the heart of this semi-desert landscape.
