Anake

Anake Anake Anake is a traditional village, full of colour and affording some spectacular views. © Ariel Fuchs

The village of Anake is located on the island of the same name, opposite the town of Atuona in Taaoa Bay on Hiva Oa. It is very colourful, with its coconut and banana trees, pandanus and guavas, its little houses of painted wood and gardens of croton and bougainvilleas.
