Tahiti's exceptional inland flora must absolutely be discovered by visiting the plantations of the agronomic research centres, and in particular the famous Harrison W. Smith botanical garden in Tahiti (open every day from 9:00am to 5:00pm; ask for directions at your hotel). Also on Moorea, see the Opuhi Plantation botanical garden and next to it, the fields of the vast Opunohu domain.
