Huahine is perhaps one of the most authentic islands of the archipelago. There are few cars, a peaceful rhythm of life and friendly people, the 'Woman Island' is certainly one of the most expensive in the heart of Polynesia. You will discover its beautiful landscapes, lush and exuberant vegetation, a true Garden of Eden where vanilla and pineapple grow.
You will discover the famous archaeological site of Maeva, a village that was the birthplace of eight chiefdoms of the island, hence the presence of royal ?marae'. Note that Huahine is the starting point each year in October for the largest canoe race across the South Pacific, the Hawaiki Nui Va'a.
Finally, Huahine is composed of two islands (Nui and Iti) connected by a bridge, offering, in addition to its magnificent hinterland, a very beautiful lagoon and two gorgeous beaches, one to the south of the peninsula, which faces the village of Maeva (to the east, the site of the former Sofitel hotel), the other also to the south, in Avea Bay.
