From Lake Constance, move eastwards using the German road to the Alps that runs up to Berchtesgaden along the Alps of Allgau known for their ski stations and the Bavarian Alps. The region offers a large number of splendid settings with lakes, valleys, snowy peaks, castles and traditional houses covered with flowers. Worth seeing, 4 miles from Kelheim is the mouth of the Danube with its 330 ft high cliffs.
