The most famous seaside resort of the Cyclades bursts with colours and 'joie de vivre', be it day or night. Criticised by purists, praised by devotees, Mykonos should not be missed for its charm and ?flavour'. Although it is a thriving touristic island, Mykonos is worth visiting just to get lost in its narrow and shadowed streets and taste a good Pikilia on the seafront, near Little Venice, and maybe catch a glimpse of one of the last sacred pelicans left in the town.
