Located north of Crete, the Cyclades represent the quintessence of Greek Islands for most travellers. The archipelago is made up of 39 absolutely beautiful islands, among which only 24 are inhabited. This small group of islands attracts more than 10 million visitors every year. Their speciality? Rocky and dry soils of an indefinable pale colour and whitewashed houses whose colours contrast perfectly with the blue of the Aegean Sea. Among the islands in this archipelago are Santorini, Mykonos, Delos, Paros, Naxos, and Folegrandos, among others.
