Most of the ancient sites are concentrated in the Peloponesse. Ten days at least are needed to visit the main sites: Olympus, Mycenae, Epidaurus, Monemvasia, Magne, the Temple of Vassae, etc. The region is characterised by a tormented relief, made up of gorges and mounts, where vineyards, olive and orange trees grow. The Peloponnese surface area is 8277 sq mi. The main cities are Corinth, Kalamata and Patras.
