In spring and summer, ice floes drift along the south coast, one of the best best places to take part in outdoor activities (walking, kayaking, mountain climbing...). From Qaqortoq, one of the country's prettiest cities, you can get to Hvalsey, one of the best-preserved Viking ruins, by boat.
