In Greenland, the narwhal whale is a very popular dish. Its tusk, just like reindeer wood, is used for the fabrication of small statuettes called Tupilaks. At first, these figurines used to represent evil spirits. Nowadays, you will find Tupilaks all over the country and you will probably bring one home as a memory of your stay. Some of them, made by renowned craftsman, have a unique shape.
