Grenada's Beaches Ralph Braumer / age fotostock;
In the southern part of Grenada island and the Capital, Grand Anse beach is quite popular but also crowded. Morne rouge beach, north of Saint George's, will be calmer with the same change of scenery: calm waters, thin sand and coral are all here. In the south, the peninsula called Lance aux Epines has a succession of very pleasant small beaches. It is the departure point for boats that drop you off on the islands opposite. On the East coast, the Sagesse Nature Centre presents a line of coconut trees running along the beach. In the north, Bathways beach offers a sea scattered with coral. In the water, a coral reef follows the coastline and creates a gorgeous and natural swimming pool, deep enough to swim in.
