Grenville © D.R.
Second city in size after Saint George's, Grenville is the main port of the East coast. The city does not present big tourist interest if only for the Court of Appeal dating back from the 19th century, located next to the market. The former police building and a couple of churches whose names come from the French language, attest tragic parts of its history. In the north, there is a cliff of more than 98 feet, from which the Indians in the 17th century chose to jump from rather than rendering themselves to the French settlers taking over the island.
