Travel Guadelupe

The French islands of Guadeloupe consist of 5 islands, namely Grande-Terre, Basse-Terre, Marie-Galante, Les Saintes and La Désirade. Surrounded by the Caribbean Sea, they enjoy a relaxed pace of life and a constantly sunny climate with temperatures never dropping below 25°, making them individual little paradises in their own right. Even though palm trees are a common theme, the ambience and landscapes are different on each; whilst La Désirade is a desert island somehow reminiscent of Brittany, Grande-Terre is home to the major seaside resorts, and Basse-Terre, the most unspoilt of the islands and very popular among walkers, is dominated by its volcano. Marie-Galante and Les Saintes, for their part, are slowly but surely developing and becoming increasingly popular every year with holidaymakers flocking to them to enjoy the turquoise waters as they sip a Ti-punch.
