At the entrance of Grand-Bourg (in the southwest of Marie-Galante), you can admire the last standing traditional wooden homes. The church of Notre-Dame of Marie-Galante is also worth visiting; its internal wooden turquoise-blue painted structure is elegant. Not far from Grand-Bourg, the renovated ruins of the Trianon factory give an insight into the inner workings of the nation's sugar industry.
