Typical fishing village of Guadeloupe, Port-Louis is located in the Northwest of Grande Terre. Its streets are bordered by creole huts, its church surrounded by palm trees. But the village's main attraction is without a doubt its cemetery. On the seafront and at the end of Souffleur beach, it has the particularity of having graves dug in the sand and surrounded by lambis conch. Certainly one of the most original cemeteries of Grande Terre.
