Pointe des Châteaux Pointe des Châteaux has something of a Breton feel to it but oddly enough you won't find any castles here. © Constance Balland
In the extreme north of Grande-Terre, the pointe de la Grande-Vigie is formed by steep cliffs. About 262 ft high, the cliffs are just rocks where the waves and the surprising exotic vegetation, composed of thorny scrubland and scented plants crash together. Trails criss-cross Grande Vigie. From certain cliffs, you can sometimes see when the weather is nice Antigua and Montserrat Islands, 43 and 50 miles away.
