On the Caribbean coast, only the village of Monterrico, crumbling under the mangrove, is visited by people for its quietness, black sand beaches and its sea turtle reserves. Just like the village of Livingston, you can only reach it by lanchas, sailing along Rio Dulce, well known for its emerald green colour. Its botanical excursions, bird island and biotopes are must-sees.
