The quetzal is a mythical, and now endangered, bird with a legendary beauty. You can recognise it by its long green and blue feathers, which were used by kings to decorate their jewels. In spring, males live in the air, above the forest, and do acrobatics to seduce the female birds, and at the same time seduce the lucky spectator.
