Once a month, on the coastline in Kourou, you can hear the hum of the new engines of Ariane 5. It is possible to witness a launch, as a VIP, if you make a request by mail, or by quite simply going to the Carapa site, which is located on the mountain of the same name. Guiana's spatial centre organises guided tours all the time, so do not miss that or the Aerospace Museum if you are passionate about the topic.
