 Climate and Seasons

The best season to visit Guinea is during the dry season that goes from November to April, although from December to February the air is heavy with sand, brought from Sahara by by the Harmattan. The rainy season should be avoided (from March to October), which is one of the world's most intense, in particular in July and August. The country has four climates. On the coast, the climate is humid (23 to 32°C). In the forests of the south-east, it is a tropical climate (23 à 26°C) with a very high pluviometry from the month of May. In the north west, the climate at an altitude is dry and humid depending on the season. Temperatures vary between 19 and 26°C, and can drop to 6°C on certain nights. Finally, in the north east, the climate is dry and very hot, starting in March (23 to 31°C). The sea temperature is between 24 and 27°C all year long.
