The Atlantic Coast © Emmanuel Valentin / Hoa Qui
The Atlantic coast belongs to Lower Guinea (or Maritime Guinea). The coastal tropical vegetation is composed of mangroves, in swampland areas of the coast, of coconut and palm trees, of clear forests and tree savannahs. Swimming is possible on several beaches. The ones of the heavenly peninsula of Cap Verga, 124 miles away from Conakry, are absolutely beautiful (especially Bel Air Beach). You will visit Koukoudé's small port, a traditional fishing village, with sail fishing fleet.
