There is a hot tropical climate throughout the year. The best time to go there is during the dry season, from December to March. The average temperature at that time is about 28°C. During this period, rain is less frequent than the rest of the year. The humid season goes from April to October. Rainfall gets more intense and becomes heavier in August and temperatures can exceed 33°C. Yet, trade winds can cool the air down. Haiti rises 7,338 ft; it is cooler in the mountainous areas than in the plain.
