Hi-tech: Sunny flower travel charger

We recently stumbled upon this great little device and thought we'd share it with you in time for your summer hols! Industrial designer Fandi Meng has come up with a totally green way to recharge your mobile devices, and what's more, it looks good too! The 'petals' of this Sunny Flower spread open to form the shape of a flower which can then be attached to a glass surface such as a window, or simply left in the sun, so as to harness its rays. Once the flower, which is like a battery unit, is fully charged, it can then be taken down, the petals folded up, and plugged into a mobile phone, for example, in order to charge it up. The wonderful thing about the device is that it is completely ecologically sound, weighs very little and can be taken anywhere. So, no need to worry about finding a plug socket on the beach this summer!
