Hotel Lookéa Tafoukt Beach

At the end of the row of hotels on the seafront, the hotel is located in the middle of the bay of Agadir and next to the Al Wahda square where the "day night" section of the promenade begins. Here, the restaurants and the shops await you. Direct access to the beach. Located in the tourist centre of the resort, the Tafoukt is a 10 minute walk from the centre of town. For transfers to and from the airport (located 15 miles away) expect around 30 minutes.

Tafoukt is ideally located on the beach, however the odors of the fishing port may reach to the hotel in the evening.
The bilingual shows are different every night (from 9:45 p.m. to 11 p.m.) over a period of 3 weeks. Every 3 months, the performances are renewed. Very satisfying, the clientele, which are mostly French and families, enjoy both entertainment teams, composed 10 people for the Lookéa and some 15 people, including 11 professional dancers, attached to the hotel.
Very trendy, the Factory nightclub with its parade of flat screens and the Fly bar (from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.), one part a karaoke and another very hushed section for smoking hookah, are all very sought-after and well-known places in Agadir. Something new : a spa centre is scheduled to open in late 2008.

Lodging tips:
The rooms in the 600 building have recently been renovated. Do not hesitate, ask to book one of these! Guests staying in the rooms of the main building may be disturbed by music.

Built in 1986 and renovated in 2005, the Tafoukt is human size hotel. With a high ceiling and equipped with wifi, the grand lobby with long, deep red benches set in the middle of the room displays its modernity. The decoration of the hotel is supposed to be very designer, while at the same time keeping in mind the Moroccan style : for example, a glass elevator allows you to appreciate more closely the heavy and imposing Morrocan chandelier in the atrium. Close the entrance, the Dessanges lounge, installed in a beautiful structure, delights women, who can take advantage of prices that are 75% less than those in France. With an area of 7 acres, the hotel has 220 rooms in six buildings of two and more floors (with elevators), organised around an average sized swimming pool. Vegetation dresses up the outdoor areas, where it is not always easy to find your way at first.

Almost all of the rooms have a balcony or a terrace. Very spacious, with view of the sea (60%) or the swimming pool, they are bright and decorated in a modern style, xith white, gray and black or orange, white and black designs. Each building offers different combinations of colours in the rooms. These are equipped with satellite television, double-glazed windows, adjustable air conditioning, a fridge, a safe (extra cost) and telephone. The walls are made from tadelak in the large, even huge, bathrooms, equipped with a bath, a hair dryer and soap. The rectangular sink of Italian design makes the place very stylish. There are five categories of rooms: standard, standard family, duplex, suite and family suite. Only 25 rooms in the 500 building remain to be renovated, which should be complete by 2008$$. In the duplex and 17 standard rooms, the decoration is still outdated.

For all 3 meals during the day, the international restaurant offers a copious and varied buffet - fish, meats, salads, thematic evenings over three weeks - with a section especially for children. The restaurant's dining room, all in arches, is opposite the sea, like the other places of dining. You can enjoy the ocean thanks to the bay windows. But there is no terrace at the buffet. You will also find two restaurants, offering a la carte a merge of Italian and French cuisine, or Spanish dishes, a sushi bar and a snack bar, ideal for quickly eating a salad or a sandwich between two swims in the sea or the swimming pool. All of the club's restaurants overlook the sea. A pool bar offers cocktails during the hottest hours of the day.

In front of the Tafoukt, is the promenade. Only the tiles and the lights remain to be installed ! The nuisance of ongoing construction work is over ! Between the Royal Atlas hotel and the square of Al Wahda, the hotel has a large and broad beach that is always lively from the resort's vibrant life. You will enjoy deck chairs and plaited umbrellas offered for free in the private and unsupervised part of Tafoukt. The water sports clubs offer free sailing, windsurfing, kayaking and pedalling ... Motorised sports come at extra cost. Here, as elsewhere on the bay, almost at zero sea level, the sand is fine, golden and regularly cleaned by the city authorities. On the foreshore, a few rocks and large stones should be avoided. Note that the wind blows often in the evening.
